About Shekhar Sir
This year, Biotecnika turns 20. For almost two decades, Shekhar Suman, CEO of Biotecnika, has dedicated himself to serving the biotech and life sciences student community, at a time when most people believed there was little to no scope in biotech as a career.
He built Biotecnika around a simple belief: that biotech students deserve the same career clarity, guidance, and support that students in other fields take for granted. While the industry around him kept changing, that commitment never did. Over the years, he has personally guided thousands of students through their toughest career decisions, helping them see paths in biotech, pharma, clinical research, and life sciences that they didn't know existed.
That commitment continues to show in results. In the last year alone, over 100 students have found placements through the Biotecnika placement ecosystem, in organisations such as MedGenome, Premier Research (USA), IQVIA, and Advarra, among others.
