Dr. Varsha Sridhar, Director, Co-founder, of Molecular Solutions Care Health LLP
Public health diagnostics

Varsha Shridhar is a molecular virologist with a passion for public health. She is also an entrepreneur and innovator. She has a PhD in Molecular Virology and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh and has completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Maternal and Child Health from Magee Women’s Research Institute, USA. She is the director and co-founder of Molecular Solutions Care Health (MSCH), an NABL accredited advanced diagnostic company with a motto of “Access to All“. The focus of her work has been on developing scalable and accessible diagnostic technologies. During the recent COVID19 pandemic, MSCH has emerged as one of the largest RTPCR testing centres for COVID. Varsha is interested in trans-disciplinary projects with public health relevance and is always looking out for like-minded partner institutes and people to work with.

Dr. Reety Arora - PhD, PostDoc, USA

Dr. Reety Arora is a molecular biologist specializing in Tumor Virology and Cancer  Biology. She embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Following this, she pursued her Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Her doctoral research was conducted in the laboratories of Prof. Yuan Chang and Prof. Patrick Moore, focusing on the Merkel cell polyomavirus and its role in causing Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare form of skin cancer.Equipped with expertise in tumor viruses and molecular cancer research, Dr. Arora returned to India to explore the realms of muscle stem cell biology and pluripotency. This phase of her career was spent in the laboratory of Prof. Jyotsna Dhawan at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology (inStem) in Bangalore. After completing a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in this field, she transitioned back to studying tumor viruses and their connection to cancer, with a new perspective on stemness.Her dedication and contributions were recognized when she was awarded the Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance Early Career Fellowship under the mentorship of Prof. Sudhir Krishna at the National Centre for Biological Sciences

What If I miss a session?

The recording of the sessions will be available for five days post-completion of the internship. So you can go back and refer to the recordings, but make sure you do not miss the live sessions and take maximum benefit from it.
